ABOUT:
SanDawna Gaulman Ashley is a coach trained through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) currently pursuing ACC certification. Since 1999, she has served the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in executive leadership roles. She brings to coaching the experience of breaking through many glass ceilings. She is an experienced consultant, diversity trainer, policy developer, employment recruiter, vocational counselor, and conflict mediator. As faculty for two conference centers and middle governing bodies, SanDawna trains new executive leaders to work on various business levels. She currently serves on State and local boards, advising on issues of wealth inequity and justice issues. SanDawna is a culturally proficient leader skilled in working in cross-cultural work settings. She holds degrees from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Doctor of Ministry (DMin), Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary Master of Divinity in the Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care (MDIV), and Georgia State University Bachelor of Social Work. (BSW).
You can envision the client-coach relationship as a client-led working alliance. The coach serves as a sounding board, providing objective assessment and observations mirroring what the client articulates during the coaching sessions. The client sets the agenda. A good coaching session will not only focus on goals but the leader as a person.
